UNIBEN SUG Executives Suspended From Office

The Senate of the University of Benin, at its special meeting held on Monday, 4th December, 2017 deliberated exhaustively on the role played by the present Students’ Union Executives and Parliament on the recent students’ unrest. The Senate, after due consideration, decided as follows:

That the present Students’ Union Executives and Parliament be suspended from office and advised to handover any property belonging to the union and University to the appropriate authority.

Consequently, Management has set up a panel of investigation to look at the remote and immediate cause(s) of the crisis.
In the meantime, Management will make representation to Council on the issues of review of hostel charges.

#BBN: Ex-housemate, Bisola joins Iyanya, signs deal with TMC

Reality show first runner-up, Bisola Aiyeola, has made her first big move into the music industry by signing a deal with creative agency powerhouse, Temple Management Company (TMC), PM News reports.

The multi-talented artiste, who emerged as fans favourite at the just concluded reality TV show, now aligns herself with ace Nigerian singer Iyanya and others at the TMC.

Iyanya, the ‘Kukere’ crooner, who joined TMC in 2016, took to his Twitter handle @Iyanya to welcome Bisola.

“I’m excited to reunite with my sister. Welcome Sis.#TMC ,” he tweeted.

Bisola, is a Nigerian-British actress, singer, MC and presenter, and ‘voice over’ artiste.

She came into limelight when she contested in the 2008 edition of MTN Project Fame, before contesting as a housemate at the 2017 Big Brother Nigeria (BBN) reality show.

Regina Daniels is a Nigerian teen actress and film producer.^[1] She has acted alongside Nollywood stars such as Mercy Johnson, Chinwe Owoh, Tonto Dikeh, Ngozi Ezeonu, Yul Edochie, Kenneth Okonkwo.^[2]

Personal life and education[edit]

Daniels was born on October 10, 2000. She has 5 siblings. She started acting at age 7. Her mother, Rita Daniels, who is the chairman of Delta State Actors Guild is also an actress. She attends school at the Hollywood International School in Asaba, Delta State.

Career[edit]

According to her, admiration for her mother's acting career was her inspiration into the industry. The desire to act was in her at age 7, but only got the full approval of her mum when she was 10. She stated that she gets preferential treatment in her school being a celebrity but usually study ahead of her mates in class due to her busy schedule. Daniels screen debut was in Marriage of Sorrow by Pressing Forward production company in South-Eastern Nigeria. In July 2016, This day reports that she earned 500,000 naira for a role in a film.^[3] [4]
